Our own servers, monitored around the clock, with several layers of defence and proactive control over every hosted site. Your website is not on its own: it sits inside an infrastructure that looks after it.
Five layers between your site and a threat
- Intrusion detection (IDS)
The outermost layer. It watches the servers for anomalous access — repeated login attempts, unusual patterns, unauthorised changes — and blocks the source.
- Web application firewall (WAF)
Malicious traffic is filtered before it reaches your application: injections, login attempts and known attack patterns are kept out.
- SSL certificate
What does get through travels encrypted end to end. The certificate is managed from the panel, with no manual renewals.
- Imunify
On the files already hosted: it detects and cleans malware running on the server, not as a plugin inside your site.
- Proactive monitoring
It wraps all of the above. We scan every hosted site daily and watch the servers continuously: we look for the problem before it shows.
What happens to another site does not reach yours
A server holds many websites. If they are not kept apart, another hosted site's traffic spike or infection ends up affecting yours. That is why every account runs within its own resource limits.
- A site that spikes uses its own share, not everyone else's resources.
- A compromised site stays contained inside its own account.
- Each account's files and processes are not visible to the others.
A copy that does not live on the same server
A backup stored on the very machine it protects is worth little the day that machine is the problem. So alongside the server copies we keep an offline backup.
- Off-server copy.
- Covers the site files and its database.
- Frequency depends on the plan.
Questions about security
Do I need to install or configure anything?
No. The protection runs at server level and is active from day one.
What if my site gets infected anyway?
Detection acts on the affected files and you can restore from a copy. Write to us and we will look at it with you.
Does isolation slow my site down?
The opposite: it guarantees the resources in your plan are yours, and that no other site hosted on the same server can consume them.
Can I request a restore?
Yes. Open a ticket saying what you need back and from which date.
